Lauren has recently come to the Blue Mountains from
Portland, OR, USA. She loves creating with her hands
and collaborating with others in artistic endeavors.
She knows the importance of free expression and the
nourishment and insight that naturally come through
the expressive arts. Their forms are powerful tools that can help us bring our desires and dreams to life. Through artistic processes we open our wings and lift them in flight to new terrains that were previously unimagined, undiscovered, or unexplored. We engage and strengthen our imaginations, the basis of critical thinking and finding solutions when we feel stuck.
Lauren’s especially interested in weaving together creative movement, storytelling, song, and visual arts. She has worked at Summer camps, schools, advocacy centers, and in families’ homes with children and youth of various ages. She recently completed a training for teaching visual arts to children of grades 1-8. Currently, she hosts Rising Phoenixes Women’s Expressive Arts Group weekly in Blackheath and is excited to host art activities for children again during the upcoming holidays.
